OPEN POSITION:
CREATIVE DIRECTOR

LOCATION: GLEN ELLYN

As Creative Director, you’ll be leading and managing all marketing efforts at Amy Storm & Company. You will be our brand guardian. You’ll oversee/define/refine/police the brand voice so we have a consistent language across everything we do. You’ll write, a lot. You’ll write stories, blogs, product descriptions and stories, emails, award entries, bios, video scripts and more. You’ll art direct videos, stories, blogs, photoshoots, product merchandising, and more. You are Amy Storm & Company’s greatest champion. You’ll work closely with our lead designer/owner, Amy Storm. You’ll develop marketing material that strategically leverages Amy’s expertise alongside her full team (our “& Company”)… our most valuable asset.

You’ll need to be intimately familiar with and passionate about the interior design industry. You’ll understand how a project flows, how the industry works, how other designers operate and promote themselves and their businesses. Understanding the trade (what’s important to participate in and what’s not) will be paramount in seizing opportunities that ultimately help move our brand forward.

You’ll plan and manage our entire marketing calendar. You’ll help re-invigorate and define our product offering and online store. You’ll help manage the budget around our promoted material (SEO spend, social spend, etc.)

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

+ You must have a degree in Marketing/English/Business

+ You must be able to write… and write really well

+ We would like to see 8-10 years of work experience leading a creative team or building a brand

+ Experience in digital marketing and e-commerce

+ You must be task-oriented and have incredible communication skills

+ You need to be a quick learner, a fast mover and extremely strategic

+ You must feel comfortable with and able to drive back and forth to job sites

+ You must be able to manage many things and be extremely organized

 

ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES:

+ Manage, develop and police the Amy Storm & Company brand

+ Write for all marketing material (internal and external-facing)

+ Manage external digital strategy partner and any development partners

+ Establish and plan the global marketing calendar

+ Elevate the Amy Storm & Company brand

COMMITMENT:

Full time: Monday thru Friday – 9 am to 5 pm.

Competitive annual salary (based on experience level) + profit sharing + full benefits package
